Houses on fire! Probably after the shelling from english warships. A german soldier walks fast away, maybe to find shelter.
Narvik seems to be a living nightmare to both habitants and the soldiers that's just arrived! Not only the harbor is burning, but many of the houses as well! The air is full of smoke!
This was once a locomotive. It's freight was ore from Sweden. It's been destroyed by shelling from british warships.
Another Locomotive in very damaged state! The germans must have worked for months clearing away all the scrap metal.
The wagons, still with their cargo, has also been destroyed. The soldiers seems a bit broken because they know they're in for heavy duty fixing it all up!
