November 30th November – 13th March 1940.
The Finnish winter war is fought. The people of Norway feel closely attached to Finland, and a few hundred volunteered to join the Finns as volunteers. Only a handful see combat, but as the entire forced had received military basic training led by Swedish NCO´s, they become valuable when Norway is attacked by Germany in 1940. The Norwegians are led by NS-prominent Ragnvald Hvoslef.
Many Norwegians fear that Communist Russia would attack and occupy Finland, Sweden and Norway.
December 14. Quisling meets Hitler for the first time.
