Øistein Berge has found the following info about this ship:
S/S Botavon 5848 Brt.
Owner: Sir Wm. Reardon Smith & Sons.
Operert by: Ministry of War Transport.
Capt. J.H.Smith.
Bombed 3.05.1942 at 12.30 but did not sink. Was sunked at 13.45 by HMS Jager. 20 of the crew and one gunner was killed.
Postion: 73 deg. 2 min. North and 19 deg 46 min. East.
This "Mutterschiff" has been identified as "Black prince"
