Prytz, Fredrik

Fredrik Prytz
Fredrik Winter Jakhelln Prytz was born in 1878, and was Quislings closest friend. He had met Quisling in Petrograd, Russia in 1918, and they soon established a close friendship. Prytz had been one of the founding members of ”Nasjonal Samling” since 1933, but as it seemed, he had big problems in co- operating with Hagelin in Quislings Government. Prytz died from cancer in his estate in Fosen, Trondhjem on the 19th February 1945, and received, as the only Norwegian during the war, the high ranking ”Storkorset av St. Olav” order on his deathbed. The award was never made official and it was revoked after WWII.
