The different attack groups had the following ground forces on board:

Group 1 (Narvik):
Gebirgsjaeger regiment 139. "Voraufstaffel" of the 3. gebirgs division, and navy coast artillery- and communication personell                                                                                  a total of    2000 men

Group 2 (Trondheim):
Two battalions of the gebirgsjaeger regiment 138 and a company of pioneer battalion 83 of the 3. gebirgs division, and navy coast artillery-, air and communication personell,                                                   a total of    1700 men

Group 3 (Bergen):
69.th Division's staff, two battalions of the 159. infantery regiment, two companies of the 169. pioneer battalion and two coastal artillery companies.                                                                       a total of    1900 men

Group 4 (Kristiansand and Arendal):
1. batallion and 9. company of the 310 infantery regiment of the 163's staff + misc personell and artillery crew                                                                                     a total of     1100 men

Group 5 (Oslo):
Parts of armeegroup XXI and the 163's staff, two batallions of the 307 IR, a batallion of gebirgsjaeger regt 138, navy, airforce, coastartillery and misc. personell                                                                            a total of     2000 men

Group 6 (Egersund):
Misc. personell from 169 infantery regiment                                                                              a total of       150 men
