Caproni Ca. 310 nr.505.
An Italian made aircraft, one of four ordered by the Norwegian air force in 1937. The Ca.310 nr.505 was left behind on the shores of Vangsmjøsa, and badly camouflaged with some trees and bushes. It was probably very dark when the pilots did this, in the daylight it actually added more attention to the area! |
The infantry seems to
have walked all the way from eastern part of Norway to Haugesund!
They do not look too cheerful, but that is probably because they have 53 kilometers left. |

After all the fighting
and blisters, it is time for awards!
This gefreiter receive a Iron cross 2.class. This is probably a very special occasion, since a higher rank officer is handing out the awards. |
Later on, when the German
administration had done its part, several others was to receive awards
too. It is not for the Iron cross 2.class, as they already wears the ribbon
for this award.
Perhaps it is the Infantry assault badge, or even the Iron cross 1.class! |
